Baytril (enrofloxacin) is an antibiotic used to treat many types of infections caused by susceptible bacteria. It is available as 22.7mg, 68mg and 136mg tablets. The usual dose in dogs is 2.3-9mg/pound by mouth every 24 hours as a single dose or divided in two doses 12 hours apart. The usual dose in cats is 1.75-2.3mg/pound by mouth either once a day or divided into two doses 12 hours apart. Give on an empty stomach. Use with caution in young, growing puppies. Do not use in pregnant or nursing animals. (sold per tablet)
